Water is an extremely important resource for humans. It is necessary for their survival, but it also holds significant economic importance as it is used in households, agriculture, and industry. The water we use daily in households does not meet the increasing demands of industries. Water comes into contact with various materials, most commonly metals, during its use, leading to corrosion. Corrosion has become a major global problem that can result in significant material costs if prevention and remediation are not systematically and timely addressed. Due to high levels of pollution and water hardness, it is necessary to apply water treatment processes to make it suitable for industrial use. Some of these processes include filtration, ion exchange, and reverse osmosis. The usage of water in households and industries generates large quantities of wastewater, which is of much lower quality than natural water sources. Therefore, from an ecological and economic standpoint, it is better to treat the wastewater and then return it to nature to prevent contamination of natural resources.
