This diploma thesis was prepared by studying the available content and acquired knowledge, as well as papers related to quality and quality control and management procedures. The paper defines quality, the history of its development and the quality control process in an industrial production company. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on the basic meaning of quality, the presentation of the development of quality through history and the influence and contributions of individual world gurus of quality on its current form. Quality is defined from different points of view, ie the notion of quality from the point of view of producers, buyers and markets. The standards in accordance with which the quality management and control system is implemented are also stated and described. The second part of the paper presents the process of quality control in the foundry “Plamen”, which begins with the control of input raw materials, continues with interphase control and finally concludes with the final control.
