Abstract
Proces integriranja, ispreplitanja te ujedinjavanja nacionalnih privreda karakteristike su suvremenog svijeta, odnosno globalizacije koja današnjem svijetu nudi mogućnosti i prilike za još boljim i većim razvitkom. Nove tehnologije, društveni procesi, brzi protok informacija, kapitala, napredak znanosti, tehnologije, pomak u razvoju zemalja „trećeg svijeta“ i sl. samo su neki od pozitivnih segmenata koji obilježavaju globalizaciju. Nudi li globalizacija samo ekspanziju, ili pak i recesiju, koje su to zemlje Europe najbogatije, a koje su pak najsiromašnije u svijetu i što je uzrok tome, neka su od pitanja na koje ovaj rad traži odgovore.
Abstract (english)
The process of integration, intertwining and unification of national economies are the characteristics of the modern world, respectively globalization, which offers today's world opportunities for even better and greater development. New technologies, social processes, rapid flow of information, capital, advances in science, technology, progress in the development of "third world" countries, and similar are just some of the positive segments that characterize globalization. Whether globalization offers only expansion, or even a recession, which countries in Europe are the richest and which are the poorest in the world, and what is the reason for this, are some of the questions this paper seeks answers to.
