In this master thesis, a hybrid welding process combining TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) methods was investigated. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a detailed description of the individual processes, including their working principles and basic process parameters, as well as an overview of the hybrid welding processes. The experimental part describes the methods and materials used to conduct the experiment, presents the obtained results, and analyzes their impact on industrial applications. The aim of the experiment was to determine the efficiency of the hybrid TIG-CMT process by analyzing key weld quality characteristics, such as weld appearance, penetration depth, and hardness. Analysis of the test results led to conclusions about the efficiency of the hybrid process and the impact of heat input on the geometry and hardness of the welded joint. The results showed that the combination of TIG and CMT methods can significantly speed up the welding process, improve the geometrical characteristics of the weld, enable deeper penetration, and create a wider melting zone. However, a decrease in hardness was noticed in the melting zone.
