Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je tema poslovanje banaka na financijskim tržištima. Na početku rada rada opisan je povijesni razvoj bankarstva u svijetu i u Hrvatskoj, podjela bankovnih poslova, nadzor financijskih institucija, dok je u drugom dijelu opisan bankarski sektor u uvjetima gospodarskih kriza, kao i trenutne situacije u gospodarstvu i financijskom sektoru. Banke su često glavni akteri na novčanom tržištu koje koristeći novčane instrumente stvaraju profit. Bankarski sustav je podržan modernim tehnologijama i služi, kako za podupiranje domaćeg poslovanja, tako i za obavljanje međunarodnih financijskih transakcija. Hrvatske banke nude financijske usluge i stručno investicijsko savjetovanje za investitore koji žele poslovati u Hrvatskoj. Također, surađuju s ostalim institucijama unutar države kako bi poticale gospodarski rast.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deals with the topic of bank operations on financial markets. The first part of the paper describes the historical development of banking in the world and in Croatia, the division of banking operations, supervision of financial institutions, while the second part describes the banking sector in conditions of economic crises, as well as the current situation in the economy and the financial sector. Banks are often the main actors in the money market, which use money instruments to generate profits. The banking system is supported by modern technologies and serves both to support domestic business and to perform international financial transactions. Croatian banks offer financial services and professional investment consulting for investors who want to do business in Croatia. Also, they cooperate with other institutions within the state to encourage economic growth.
