Abstract
Alternativni ratarski usjevi su biljke koje za određeno geografsko područje nisu tipične, a postoje uvjeti za uzgoj ili su se uzgajale na tom području, ali su s vremenom potisnute zbog niskih prinosa. Posljednjih godina raste interes za uzgojem alternativnih usjeva, a pogotovo u ekološkoj poljoprivredi. Prije početka uzgoja alternativnih usjeva treba odrediti cilj proizvodnje. Neki od ciljeva mogu biti: sjetva za vlastite potrebe, očuvanje bioraznolikosti, ekonomska dobit (proizvodnja isključivo za prodaju) ili određene alternativne vrste u plodoredu sa jasnim ciljem popravka plodnosti tla. Cilj završnog rada je opisati korjenaste i gomoljaste alternativne usjeve i istaknuti njihov značaj iz sadašnje i buduće perspektive.
Abstract (english)
Alternative field crops are plants that are not typical for a certain geographical area, and there are conditions for growing them or they were grown in that area, but over time they were suppressed due to low yields. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the cultivation of alternative crops, especially in ecological agriculture. Before starting the cultivation of alternative crops, the production goal should be determined. Some of the goals can be: sowing for own needs, preservation of biodiversity, economic profit (production exclusively for sale) or certain alternative species in the crop rotation with the clear goal of improving soil fertility. The goal of the final paper is to describe root and bulb alternative crops and highlight their importance from the current and future perspective.
