The banking sector has been developing and improving over the past few years in terms of technology and digitization. By applying technology, all data is converted into digital form, thereby reducing human error, increasing customer loyalty and increasing the advantages of digitization in the banking sector, and banking services are available on the Internet 24 hours a day. Privredna banka Zagreb and Erste banka have adapted well to the challenges of technology. They introduced numerous digital channels such as mobile and Internet banking, e-Građani and additional services for payment at points of sale via mobile devices, digital signature, mToken for a one-time pin and many others. They have developed automated processes, greater security, chatbots for inquiries for a better user experience, but there is also a fear of software hacking, hardware failure, outdated technology. The process of digitization in the banking sector is long-term, and new technologies need to be constantly developed, systems updated, hardware upgraded, and security provided to users for such a way of providing services. Due to increasing digitization and automation, paper is being forgotten and digital clouds are being used to store data and documents. Cash management has become simpler. The bank should set up a good strategy at the beginning, and hire an expert team that can turn ideas into reality and bring big profits.
