Abstract
Schengenski prostor zamišljen je kao Europa bez granica odnosno slobodno kretanje ljudi i roba u zemljama članicama Schengena. S vremenom je broj država članica rastao i shengenski prostor se proširivao te trenutno broji 27 zemalja članica uključujući i Republiku Hrvatsku. Države članice kao potpisnice Schengenskog sporazuma ostvaruju međunarodnu suradnju i time razne pogodnosti. Kako bi se ostvarila skladnost i provela politika Schengenskog sporazuma donešen je Zakonik o schengenskim granicama. Njime je jasno regulirano što je vanjska granica, što je unutarnja granica, koja su prava i slobode unutar granica schengenskog prostora. U Republici Hrvatskoj za provedu Zakonika o schengenskim granicama nadležno je Ministarstvo unutarnjih poslova, a njegove konkretne poslove i zadaće provodi granična policija u suradnji s Europskom unijom.
Abstract (english)
The Schengen area is conceived as a Europe without borders, i.e. the free movement of people and goods in Schengen member countries. Over time, the number of member states grew and the Schengen area expanded, and currently there are 27 member states, including the Republic of Croatia. As signatories to the Schengen Agreement, the member states achieve international cooperation and thus various benefits. In order to achieve compliance and implement the policy of the Schengen Agreement, the Code on Schengen Borders was adopted. It clearly regulates what is the external border, what is the internal border, what are the rights and freedoms within the borders of the Schengen area. In the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the implementation of the Schengen Borders Code, and its specific tasks and tasks are carried out by the border police in cooperation with the European Union.project is an activity within a specific sector or area.
