Since the hospital system is an intense and demanding work environment, it is crucial that employees in this system are satisfied with their jobs and working conditions. The main reason for this is that employee satisfaction in healthcare directly affects the achievement of hospital system goals, particularly patient satisfaction. A lack of job satisfaction results in reduced service quality and increased turnover of workers in the field. Effective human resource management is precisely the fundamental tool of the healthcare system, ensuring good and quality healthcare for the population while also ensuring the sustainability of the healthcare system. The survey involved a total of 209 participants. The aim of the research was to determine the level of job satisfaction with working conditions among healthcare and non-healthcare professionals at Dr. Josip Benčević General Hospital in Slavonski Brod. The research results showed that 58.8% of the participants were satisfied with their working conditions, with 19.6% being completely satisfied and an additional 39.2% being mostly satisfied. The most satisfied with working conditions were men aged 41 to 60 with a secondary education level who were not in a managerial position.
