Abstract | Hrvatska ima bogatu tradiciju obilježavanja blagdana. Nije bilo važnijeg događaja u životu pojedinca ili zajednice koji nije obilježen nekim običajem. Za vrijeme blagdana okupljala bi se obitelj, susjedi, mještani i družili, pjevali, plesali. Kao što je bilo nekada, tako je i sada važno uključivati djecu u obilježavanje blagdana i običaja. Običaji su podložni neprestanim promjenama, stoga se tradicijski elementi i karakteristike blagdana i praznika miješaju s novim, suvremenijim elementima. U ovom diplomskom radu naglasak je stavljen na tradicijsko obilježavanje blagdana kao što su Uskrs, Svi sveti, Sveti Nikola, Sveta Lucija, Badnjak i Božić te poklade i usporedba s novim, suvremenim običajima ili pojedinim elementima običaja kao što su Halloween (hrv. Noć vještica), božićni i adventski običaji preuzeti od drugih naroda. U drugom dijelu diplomskog rada nalazi se istraživanje kojim će se pokušati utvrditi koji su tradicijski, a koji suvremeni elementi obilježavanja pojedinih blagdana i praznika prisutni danas, koliko se obilježavanje blagdana i praznika razlikuje nekada i danas te ima li razlike u obilježavanju istih na ruralnom i urbanom području. Poznata narodna izreka u Slavoniji glasi „Bolje da izumre selo nego običaj. |
Abstract (english) | Croatia has a rich tradition of celebrating holidays. There was no more important event in the life of an individual or a community that was not marked by some custom. During the holidays, family, neighbors, locals would gather, hang out, sing, dance. As in the past, as now, it was important to include children in the celebration of holidays and customs. Customs are subject to constant changes, therefore traditional elements and characteristics of holidays are mixed with new, more modern elements. In this thesis emphasis is placed on the traditional celebration of holidays such as Easter, All Saints Day, St. Nicholas, St. Lucia, Christmas Day and Christmas, and carnivals and comparison with new, contemporary customs or certain elements of customs such as Halloween, Christmas and Advent customs taken from other nations. In the second part of the diploma thesis, there is a research that will try to determine which are the traditional and which are the modern elements of the celebration of certain holidays and holidays present today, how much the celebration of holidays and holidays differs from the past to today, and whether there are differences in celebrating them in rural and urban area. A well-known folk saying in Slavonia „It is better for a village to die than for an custom“. |
