The subject of this final work is preschool children as illustrators of picture books. It is based on the art activity carried out in the kindergarten Hlapić, and on the analysis of collected children's works, which are also the work of children of different ages. This final work ultimately deals with the issue of children's illustration and provides a vision of a group of children who participate in its creation in the role of illustrators. The final work is structured in two parts. In the first theoretical part, but in shorter theoretical lines, it talks about picture books and a short history of picture books, and about illustrating and analyzing children's drawings and works of art. The second part consists of an analysis of the art activity carried out under the name Children of preschool age as illustrators of picture books. It consists of a detailed description and qualitative analysis of children's illustrations that are ultimately integrated with the text of the folk tale Kolibica. The purpose of this final work is to stipulate the child's ability to describe the content of a certain part of the story with visual expression, or illustration. Within the framework of the analysis of children's works of art the differences of children's illustrations are determined regarding age, and it is noted how detailed the children's illustration is regarding the story.
