Abstract (english) Water is a fundamental natural resource that is necessary for the maintenance of life and can be said to be the basis of life on Earth. Water has a great impact on flora and fauna. Apart from the fact that water is used for sanitary needs and water supply, water is also needed in industrial processes. Water is needed for crop irrigation, cooling systems, electricity generation, freshwater fish and aquatic organisms, navigation, installation of floating or floating facilities, for sports, swimming, recreation and other purposes.
Pesticides and fertilizer affect groundwater and thus reach streams, lakes, or rivers, causing water pollution. The xenoestrogenic effect of certain chemicals (detergents, pesticides, drugs) from water on the living world is known. They are also called „environmental hormones “,
because they change the life cycles of organisms in water (especially the reproductive cycle) and often cause deformations od animals. Acidification of water leads to the death of certain organisms or the overgrowth of other organisms, which leads to an imbalance in the ecosystem. Developed countries such as European Union countries take greater care to preserve and store harmful waste that can endanger human health and the environment, while poor countries like India do not care about water protection due to money and poor governance. The effects of water pollution are far-reaching and affect human health and the environment. The effects of water pollution effects on our oceans, lakses, rivers and drinking water, which is becoming a widespread and global issue mostly due to numerous diseases, health problems and even death that come from water pollution.
