Abstract
Europska Unija je ekonomska i politička unija, te jedinstvena i međuvladina zajednica europskih država s ciljem napretka, boljitka te suradnje među državama članicama. No jedna članica je jasno izjasnila svoje nezadovoljstvo, te je 2016. godine pokrenula postupak izlaska, a 2020. godine ga i ostvarila. Velika Britanija je prva članica koja je napustila EU, a postupak napuštanja nazvao se Brexit. Brexit, odnosno postupak izlaska Velike Britanije iz Europske unije prouzrokovao je šok i mnoštvo pitanja među britanskim narodom, ali i zemljama članicama Europske Unije. Izlazak je doveo do mnogih posljedica za zemlje članice EU, ali i Veliku Britaniju. Iako je izašla, Velika Britanija pokušava uspostaviti novi odnos s EU, te riješiti mnoge nesporazume i neriješena pitanja.
Abstract (english)
The European Union is an economic and political union, a single and intergovernmental community of European states with the aim of progress, prosperity and cooperation between member states. However, one member clearly stated its discontent, and in 2016 initiated the exit procedure, and in 2020 achieved it. The UK is the first member to leave the EU, and the process of leaving was called Brexit. Brexit, that is, the process of Britain leaving European Union, caused shock and many questions among the British people, but also in the member states of the European Union. Brexit has led to many consequences for EU member states, but also for the United Kingdom. Even though it has come out, the United Kingdom is trying to establish a new relation with the EU and resolve many misunderstandings and unresolved issues.
