Abstract Obitelj predstavlja prvu sredinu u kojoj se dijete nalazi, odrasta, uči i razvija. Vrlo je važno da dijete odrasta u kvalitetnim i zdravim uvjetima, kako bi se mogao pravilno razvijati. Odgoj djeteta nije niti malo lak zadatak, potrebno je puno strpljenja, suosjećanja, pažnje, razumijevanja i potpore. Brojni roditelji u odgoju djece koriste tjelesno kažnjavanje za odgoj djeteta, često zbog neznanja, neinformiranosti ili smatraju da je to prihvatljiv način odgoja djeteta, te da će se na taj način razviti u dobru osobu. No sve to nosi u većini slučajeva samo štetu na djetetov razvoj. Vrlo je važno da roditelji svoj stres, ljutnju i probleme, ostave po strani kada su s djetetom, jer se njihov stres često odrazi negativno na djecu. Ako se roditelji koriste kaznom, moraju znati koja je kazna najbolja ovisno o situaciji koja se dogodila, kako provesti kaznu i biti ustrajan. Glavni cilj ovoga rada je prikazati kako je tjelesno kažnjavanje djece i dalje poprilično zastupljeno iako je zakonom zabranjeno, te objasniti negativan utjecaj takvog načina odgoja na dijete, na njegov rast u i razvoj, ali i odnos sa roditeljima. U zamjenu za tjelesno kažnjavanje postoje brojni drugi načini discipliniranja i učenja djeteta, koji su puno ugodniji i bolji za dijete, ali i za roditelje. Mi smo djeci model ponašanja te je vrlo važno kako se mi ponašamo prema našem djetetu, jer kada dijete odraste ono će se tako ponašati i prema svojoj okolini. Razgovor i zdrava komunikacija jedni su od najvažnijih elemenata zdravog odgoja i odnosa sa djetetom.
Abstract (english) The family is the first environment in which a child is, grows up, learns and develops. It is very important that the child grows up in quality and healthy conditions, so that he can develop properly. Raising a child is not an easy task, it takes a lot of patience, compassion, attention, understanding and support. Many parents use corporal punishment to raise their children, often due to ignorance, lack of information, or they believe that it is an acceptable way of raising a child, and that in this way they will develop into a good person. But all this in most cases only brings damage to the child's development. It is very important for parents to put aside their stress, anger and problems when they are with their child, because their stress often reflects negatively on children. If parents use punishment, they must know which punishment is best depending on the situation that has occurred, how to enforce the punishment and be persistent. The main goal of this paper is to show that corporal punishment of children is still quite prevalent even though it is prohibited by law. Explain the negative impact of such a way of raising on the child, on his growth and development, but also on the relationship with parents. In exchange for corporal punishment, there are many other ways of disciplining and learning the child, which are much more pleasant and better for the child, but also for the parents. We are a model of behavior for children and it is very important how we behave towards our child, because when the child grows up, he will behave in the same way towards his environment. Conversation and healthy communication are one of the most important elements of a healthy upbringing and relationship with a child.
