The graduate thesis presents the characteristics and possibilities of low - budget 3D printers. At the beginning of the paper, an introduction to the problems of this paper is given, and then additive technology and its historical development are described. The appearance of 3D printers is also described separately, considering that in the further work the problem of connections for low-budget 3D printers will be elaborated. In order to get a better insight into the additive technology itself, the stages of production are described, as well as the principles in this production. There are different processes in additive production, and the most important ones are presented together with the materials and their example. Also featured are the features and specifications of low-budget 3D printers available in the market that are ultimately most used in additive manufacturing. Given that print preparation software is available and diverse today, this shows those that are most recognizable on the market and that are ultimately the most commonly used. At the end of the paper, examples of how low-budget 3D printers can be used in various industries and purposes are presented.
