Mariji Montessori, o Montessori pedagoškoj koncepciji općenito, razdobljima osjetljivosti u djece, o značajkama Montessori prostora, o kompetencijama Montessori odgojitelja te posebnostima Montessori pribora i njegovog načina korištenja.
Abstract (english) With the development of pedagogical reform in the 20th century, new ideas and pedagogical directions were simultaneously developed that have survived to this day as part of alternative pedagogy. The most famous among them are Montessori, the Waldorf pedagogical concept, Agazzi and Reggio. All the mentioned pedagogical conceptions have their own peculiarities and features, but their common feature is the focus on the child and his best and highest quality growth and development within the framework of modern upbringing and education. The subject of study of this work is the relationship, i.e. the opinions and attitudes of educators towards the Montessori pedagogical concept. In the theoretical part of this paper, we talk about the originator of the Montessori pedagogical concept, i.e. Maria Montessori, about the Montessori pedagogical concept in general, periods of sensitivity in children, about the features of the Montessori space, about the competencies of the Montessori educator and the peculiarities of the Montessori accessories and how to use them. The empirical part of the paper presents the results of the conducted research, the aim of which was to examine the attitudes and beliefs of educators about the Montessori pedagogical concept. The results show that the majority of the examined educators know Montessori pedagogy and have a positive attitude towards it, although in the results we can see that some educators do not have enough knowledge about the basics of the Montessori pedagogical concept and its features. Montessori pedagogy, focused on individualization of learning, independence and practical experience, requires educators to have specific knowledge and skills for effective application. Educating educators about this method is essential for quality education and development of children, as it helps them understand the key principles of the Montessori method, create a stimulating environment, and recognize and respond to the needs of each child. Through appropriate education, educators can act as guides and support, providing children with the opportunity for complete development in a modern educational context that requires adaptable and flexible methods.
