Abstract Jedna od bitnijih sastavnica odgojno-obrazovnog rada je suradnja s roditeljima. Suradnja učitelja i roditelja proces je u kojemu i jedni i drugi zajedno doprinose razvoju svoga učenika/djeteta. Kvalitetna suradnja s roditeljima rezultira jačanjem djetetova osjećaja sigurnosti, vlastite vrijednosti i nedovoljno razvijenih potencijala. Suradnja utječe i na uspjeh djeteta u školi što zahtijeva sudjelovanje roditelja u radu škole. Sve se to ostvaruje djelotvornom komunikacijom koja služi radi boljeg uspostavljanja kontakta s drugima, ali i uspješnije suradnje. Komunikacija se ističe kao jedna od najvažnijih čovjekovih vještina, a ujedno je i temelj za ostvarivanje suradnje učitelja i roditelja.
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je ispitati izazove koji se pojavljuju u suradnji učitelja i roditelja. Uzorak istraživanja čine 4 učitelja i 10 roditelja iz različitih osnovnih škola i različitih županija, uzrasta od 1. do 4. razreda. Obradom dobivenih podataka rezultati su podijeljeni u sljedećih 11 kodova: načini suradnje, problemi u suradnji, školske aktivnosti, komunikacija, prijedlozi za poboljšanje suradnje, pristupi rješavanju izazova, stav, dostupnost učitelja, kompetencije, poštivanje i prijedlozi za poboljšanje suradnje na razini odgojno-obrazovnog sustava.
Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju roditeljsku želju za suradnjom, ali i njihovu nedovoljnu uključenost u školske aktivnosti, što se posljedično može povezati s načinom rada učitelja. Pokazalo se da je moguće ostvariti dobru suradnju s roditeljima i da su i učitelji i roditelji voljni više međusobno komunicirati kako bi doprinijeli boljitku njihovog djeteta.
Abstract (english) One of the most important components of educational work is collaboration with parents. The cooperation between teachers and parents is a process in which both parties contribute together to the development of their student/child. Quality cooperation with parents results in strengthening the child's sense of security, self-worth, and underdeveloped potentials. Collaboration also influences the child's success in school, which requires the parents' participation in school activities. All of this is achieved through effective communication, which serves to establish better contact with others and to facilitate more successful collaboration. Communication is highlighted as one of the most important human skills and is also the foundation for achieving cooperation between teachers and parents.
For the purposes of this thesis, a study was conducted to examine the challenges that arise in the cooperation between teachers and parents. The sample consisted of 4 teachers and 10 parents from various primary schools and different counties, with children in grades 1 to 4. The results obtained were categorized into the following 11 codes: methods of cooperation, problems in cooperation, school activities, communication, suggestions for improving cooperation, approaches to solving challenges, attitudes, teacher availability, competencies, respect, and suggestions for improving cooperation at the level of the educational system.
The results of this study show a parental desire for cooperation but also their insufficient involvement in school activities, which can consequently be linked to the teachers' methods of work. It has been shown that it is possible to achieve good cooperation with parents and that both teachers and parents are willing to communicate more with each other to contribute to the betterment of their child.
