Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is a herbaceous annual corp that belongs to the Fabaceae family. Peas are among the four most important legumes in the world, namely soybeans, beans and chikpeas. Due to the numerous cultivars, flexibility and short growing season, peas have a large cultivation area. Thea im of this pape ris to show how one pea variety developed in identical agroecological conditions, and to determine which method of sowing (in rows ori n small houses) is better in order to ensure a higher pea yield. The variety used is Čudo kelvedon. The experiment was set up in rows and in houses, inside which pea seeds were placed. By monitoring the following parameters of plant mass, mass of above-ground part, mass of roots, height of above-ground part, lenght of roots, number of pods per plant, number of grains per plant and mass of number of grains per plant, the difference between these two cultivation methods was established. According to the obtained results it was determined that the alternative method of cultivation gave better results according to all measured parameters, except for the mass of the roots, which was the same in both methods of cultivation and the lenght of the roots, which was greater in the case of the traditional formo f cultivation.
